The New Soccer Generation – CONCACAF territory
Everybody knows the reasons and problems of the lack of high level performance in international competitions with the countries part of the CONCACAF territory . Since 1987 I have been observing and implementing the Brazilian soccer philosophy in North America, respecting the cultural and social factors of the country. I would like to suggest a few solutions.
- 1. Emphasis in developing educators of soccer-
- The educational orientation to coaches in the country
- (soccer educators that can explain the why, when and how of each technical and physical concept of the game). Development of lower body coordination without the ball for soccer 6 to 12 years old. Implementation of coordination of the 12 techniques of soccer.
- 2. Emphasis in developing educators of soccer (coaches that can explain the why, when and how of each tactical concepts of the game). Variations of systems to ages 12 to 17 – 433 , 442 and 352
- 3. Create a real environment for coaches and players to be exposed to the highest level of competition nationally and internationally.
- 4. Place in any basketball court around the country a set of under-8 goals to allow the young players to have fun without supervision to help develop their skills.
- 5. Identify a leader that can establish a vertical integration from the youngest ages to the national level, establishing the best philosophy and methodology for the American soccer.
- 6. Identify and minimize the territorial controlling of entities with financial interest over the development of the game.
- 7. Establish a development process of the youth teams directly related to the professional clubs and the top leagues in the county. (MLS, USL, etc…)
- 8. High investment in educating the parents of youth organizations. Help them to become the future teachers of the game of soccer with more respect, passion and love.
